[IN A NUTSHELL]

A magical girl from a world where being a magical girl is a death sentence. After killing her compassion to become a more efficient killing machine, she was transported to a world where being a magical girl is a fun adventure. There, she learns about nonlethal problem solving and learning to love herself and feel joy again.

Eventually, they head back to her homeworld and upend the status quo to make it less of a miserable place. The leader of the happy world's magical girl team is her girlfriend now.
